Incoming desert storm? Check. 40 mph winds? Check. Hiking with the best couple who tough it out? Check.
Kamloops is known for its wild desert storms, but we didn’t let the bad weather change our adventure plans. Heather and Quention toughed out the crazy winds and the looming dark clouds in the distance for our adventure session, and it was worth it!
Just a short drive past Batchelor Height, the Lac du Bois Grasslands protected area offers great desert hiking within city limits. We hiked up to one of my favourite hills that offer sweeping views of Kamloops, and Heather and Quentin kept each other warm from the winds. They were naturals in front of the camera and their chemistry was off the charts! Laughing, joking, and sharing their own ideas for poses! I’m a sucker for The Notebook, so when Heather suggested running and jumping into Quentin’s arms my answer was “YESYESYESYES”! If you’re a bird, I’m a bird. 🙂
We hiked back to the car, and within minutes the downpour started. But hey, we don’t call it an adventure session for nothing!
