Canmore Murrieta’s wedding | Canadian rocky mountain wedding inspiration | Film & Forest Canmore photographers
This wedding at Murrieta’s last summer was one of our favourites to capture as Canmore photographers. It went from a drizzly overcast morning to blue skies and rainbows (literally!) for Katie and Jeff’s Canmore Murrieta’s wedding. If that doesn’t sum up summer weather in the Canadian Rockies, I don’t know what does!
Weather Forecasts for Canmore Photographers
The morning started getting ready at a nearby hotel for Katie and Jeff’s Canmore wedding. The day was calling for some rain, but Canmore photographers know that you can never trust a weather forecast in the mountains! Katie and Jeff got ready separately as they spent the morning with loved ones.
Quarry Lake Parking Wedding Ceremony
The afternoon came and it was time for their ceremony! Katie and Jeff had their Canmore wedding ceremony at Quarry Lake Park. This is one of the best wedding venues for Canmore photographers because you see all three major peaks from Quarry Lake: Ha Ling, East End of Rundle, and the Three Sisters. Although we suppose the Three Sisters counts as three on their own 😉 You can easily book Quarry Lake Park for your wedding ceremony through the Town of Canmore.
Katie and Jeff’s wedding ceremony incorporated readings from each of their brothers and their dog even joined in the celebrations! The drizzle of rain even made for some great laughs as guests tried to protect Katie and her bridesmaids from getting wet! You could truly feel the love and community around these two as Katie and Jeff said “I do”.
This winter wedding at Ghost River looks like something straight out of a Frozen movie!
Hammock Wedding Photos!
After Katie and Jeff’s ceremony and family photos, their bridal party totally rocked the stormy weather for us Canmore photographers! Katie and Jeff bring their hammock with them for every camping trip, so it was only fitting to incorporate it into their Canmore wedding photos, too. These were some of our favourite photos of the entire day and we loved how Katie and Jeff tied in something sentimental to the photos!
Canmore Murrieta’s Wedding Reception
They held their wedding reception at Murrieta’s right in the heart of downtown Canmore. Murrieta’s is the best wedding venue we’ve seen as Canmore photographers for couples who want a laid-back community feel to table arrangements where guests can socialize and mingle.
Sunset along Spring Creek Boardwalk
Katie and Jeff’s Canmore Murrieta’s wedding was full of laughs, memories, and tears of joy. By the end of speeches there was not a dry eye in the house! We snuck out with the bride and groom for sunset wedding photos along the Spring Creek boardwalk as the last light of the day illuminated the rocky mountains. Sunset is our favourite time to take wedding photos as Canmore photographers because the mountain peaks get a bright pink colour wash over them for a few minutes. This phenomenon is called alpenglow, and it looks amazing in Canmore landscape and wedding photography!
Katie and Jeff partied the night away at their Canmore Murrieta’s wedding surrounded by friends and family. It’s days like this that make us feel incredibly grateful to capture weddings in the Canadian Rockies and to be Canmore photographers.
