A picture-perfect church square, desert hills, and an old brick school to boot. Kamloops wedding photography is hard to beat.
It was so fun to photograph this BC wedding. The day started at Bhumika Salon & Spa for the bride’s hair. Leilani found a crystal hairpiece to complete the look, which went perfectly with her vintage-inspired beaded lace wedding dress. We headed to the Double Tree Hilton after, where Leilani’s daughters did her makeup and finished her look.

The ceremony at St. Andrew’s on the Square involved a candle lighting, veil, and cord ceremony as part of filipino tradition. Experiencing so many different wedding ceremonies and how different families celebrate love is one of my favourite parts of this job.
After the ceremony, we took the bridal party to Stuart Wood Elementary for an old-school backdrop to our wedding party photos, then we took advantage of TRU’s views of the city for formal couples shots. I love shooting at Thompson Rivers University because you can get a variety of different scenes depending where you go on campus.
The night ended at Double Tree Hilton where Leilani’s children gave the best speech giving tips to Derek for surviving living with their mom. Leilani’s daughter finished off the night serenading the crowd to a rendition of “At Last” by Etta James as Leilani and Derek shared their first dance. This is what magic looks like. Congratulations Leilani + Derek!
