Cornerstone is one the best wedding venues in Canmore. It’s rustic and surrounded by the Canadian Rockies, so when Josh and Mel asked us to be their Cornerstone theatre wedding photographers we couldn’t wait!
A First Look for Their Cornerstone Theatre Wedding
There are no suites for a Cornerstone Theatre wedding, so Josh and Mel got ready separately in nearby hotels. The morning was relaxed as they both got ready surrounded by loved ones. Josh and Mel wanted to do a first look before their wedding ceremony, so we went to the railway engine bridge. Typical to Mel’ style, she was ready to go before her groom was! As Cornerstone Theatre wedding photographers in Canmore we can truly say that has never happened before! There’s a first for everything 😉
Warm Weather for Wedding Photographers in Canmore
After their first look and wedding photos at the Canmore railway engine bridge we headed to Cornerstone Theatre. They exchanged their own vows and everyone celebrated as they tied the knot! The theatre was decorated with colours of green and white to tie into the rustic mountain wedding venue feel.
Take a look at their rad sunset engagement in the Canadian rocky foothills
Even though their Cornerstone Theatre wedding was in March, the weather was hot! The groomsmen had faux-fur hand warmers, but it turns out we didn’t need them in these temps! We were sure to grab a couple photos with them, although their hands may have been a little sweaty aha! Mel and Josh are so easy to photograph (we also took their Okotoks engagement photos the previous summer) and we had a blast goofing off and taking in the epic mountain views for their Cornerstone Theatre wedding.
Home-Roasted Coffee Beans for This Cornerstone Theatre Wedding Favour!
We headed back to Cornerstone Theatre for their wedding reception, and were delightfully surprised to see Mel and Josh had roasted their own coffee beans as wedding favours for guests! In our first phone call with Mel and Josh, we learned how they love coffee just as much as Liam does. It was only fitting, then, to have their own roasted beans at their Cornerstone Theatre wedding 🙂
The reception was beautifully decorated and of course as Cornerstone Theatre wedding photographers in Canmore we thought the food was delicious! After dinner, Josh and Mel slipped out with us for sunset portraits in the mountains. This is a great way to get away from the business of a wedding reception, and to take a break with just your partner. Plus, blue hour in the Canadian Rockies are an amazing time for wedding photographers in Canmore to capture!
Once back at reception, these two danced the night away with their friends and family ’till the cows came home. An unforgettable day for Cornerstone Theatre wedding photographers in Canmore and an amazing couple. Mel and Josh, it was an absolute honour to be there for you and capture your adventure of a lifetime!
