Emerald Lake wedding in Yoho National Park
It was a perfect summer day for Sarah and Logan’s Emerald Lake wedding in Yoho National Park. They had planned an intimate ceremony at the Emerald Lake Lodge wedding viewpoint, an intimate location that overlooked the turquoise lake.
A handful of their loved ones and best friends joined them for their small microwedding. As Banff wedding photographers we love this because it feels like the best of both worlds. You have the intimacy and epic views of an elopement, but you still get to have your loved ones present with you like on a traditional wedding day.
Take a look at this Canmore elopement on the blog!
The Ceremony
Before their afternoon ceremony, Sarah shared a first look with her dad at the lodge. His reaction almost had us in tears too! A few minutes later and it was time to start the ceremony. Logan and Sarah exchanged personal vows, and Logan even wrote his on a legit scroll! He had everyone laughing!
Sunset with Emerald Lake Wedding Photographers
Later on, we snuck Logan and Sarah out of their small reception dinner at Cilantro (the restaurant at Emerald Lake Lodge) for some Emerald Lake wedding photos at sunset. Sunrise and sunset are the best time to capture photos in the Canadian Rockies, making Emerald Lake Lodge the perfect mountain wedding venue! It is so easy to get amazing wedding photos at Emerald Lake Lodge because of the venue’s proximity to the lakeshore.
Sarah and Logan couldn’t stop laughing and playing with each other throughout the photos. These two were one of the most fun, playful couples we have had the pleasure to photograph.
Film & Forest are a team of Emerald Lake wedding photographers capturing outdoorsy couples in the great outdoors. We travel across British Columbia and Alberta capturing love stories in the mountains, and you can find us anywhere there’s adventure. Learn more about us and our wedding photography.
