Canmore elopement photographers at Quarry Lake Park | Elopements with family | Moraine Lake, Banff National Park | Adventure wedding photography

We may be biased because we live here as Canmore elopement photographers, but we think Canmore is way better to visit than Banff because it has much more of a local feel with just as good mountain views! Don’t believe us? Keep scrolling through Stephanie and Ramon’s Canmore elopement and we think you may just agree 😉

From Florida to the Canadian Rockies

Stephanie and Ramon are from Florida and decided to elope in the Canadian Rockies. They had visited Canmore and Banff before and fell in love with it, and this time they wanted to tie the knot. They loved the mountain views, but wanted to avoid the crowds of Banff. As Canmore elopement photographers we knew Quarry Lake would be a much better ceremony option for them to avoid crowds while still keeping the location easy to walk to for family.

Canmore elopement with family

Just because you elope doesn’t mean family can’t join! When you plan a destination elopement, you can still keep the day intimate with a handful of guests while enjoying the benefits of getting married with an awe-worthy backdrop. These small intimate weddings are relaxed, easy to plan, and are budget-friendly without the need for wasteful wedding decor.

Personal Wedding Vows

Their Canmore elopement ceremony officiated by Patrick Smiley was beautifully set amongst the rocky mountains. Stephanie and Ramon wrote personal vows to one another, and Ray surprised her with a true one-of-a-kind love storybook for his vows!

Sunset Wedding Photos at Moraine Lake

Steph and Ray said goodbye to their family (for a little while) after the ceremony and we took full advantage of the warm weather and mountain views for their Canmore elopement photos! They headed to dinner with their family, and we all met up together later for stunning sunset photos at Moraine Lake.

These two were full of love and energy. They were up for anything and most importantly they were themselves! You don’t have to be a professional model in photos when you’re with us because our Canmore elopement photographer posing style focuses on movement and action. Most importantly you’ll be having so much fun you’ll forget you’re even being photographed!

As the sun set and dusk fell Steph and Ray took in one last look at Moraine Lake and the surrounding mountains. Their mountain elopement was laid-back and adventurous; the perfect match to their personalities!
