A Rockies Heli Wedding
These two wanted mountaintop views and an adventure for their wedding day, but also knew they still wanted to enjoy time with family. A Rockies Heli wedding helicopter tour made for the perfect solution!
Bow Lake Wedding Ceremony
We aren’t exaggerating when we say this Rockies Heli wedding had all four seasons in one. It was sunshine and blue skies in Canmore to start the day off with their first look before venturing north. Storms were in the forecast, but Jory and Cody trooped out the cold to have an epic Bow Lake wedding ceremony with their families there to join on the Icefield Parkway!
After the wedding ceremony at Bow Lake in Banff National Park, we headed to Rockies Heli, where despite the blustering winds Ralph’s team was able to fly us over the turquoise blue Abraham Lake and then land on a mountain knoll with a little more wind protection.

Dress for the Elements
Wind is pretty common while on top of a mountain in the Canadian Rockies, so plan to embrace it for your wedding day and you’ll get the best Rockies Heli wedding photos possible! Jory’s long flowing Aesling wedding dress from Sweet Pea & Noelle boutique in Regina gave the photos an extra oompfh to the amazing background of snow squalls and rocky peaks in the distance.
First Dance at Moraine Lake
Heavy rain storms were forecasted for sunset, but Cody and Jory didn’t mind! Once we finished the Rockies Heli tour, we all headed to Banff National Park’s infamous Moraine Lake. There, on the shores of Moraine Lake with the place to themselves (bonus of rain ☔) and dusk settling in, Jory and Cody shared their first dance. Rain drops and misty skies as darkness fell made a perfect comforting close to this four-season elopement!
