Cold weather outside, warm shots inside. Heather + Marcin trooped out the November snow storm and I had an epic day second shooting with Todd Kwiczak of Tkshotz Photography for this Calgary winter wedding!
You never know what weather you’re going to get in Calgary during November, but blustery snowstorms can make for rad winter wedding photography in the city. Heather and Marcin’s wedding photos were no exception.

After the ceremony, we took the bridal party to East Village’s Simmons Building for an industrial modern setting to their wedding photos. The bridesmaids and groomsmen trooped it out in the cold, but Heather and Marcin took the wedding day cake as they danced through the heavy snowstorm on the George C. King Bridge nearby. Heather’s awesome bouqet from Occasional Bloom Flourist in Calgary held up beautifully and didn’t even wilt from the frigid temperatures!
We joined the wedding party back at Charbar, where the bride and groom warmed up with a couple celebratory shots from friends. A big shoutout to Charbar, who gave us accessfor some indoor portraits of the couple upstairs. With big panel windows and industrial brick walls, Charbar has a modern industrial feel and can be booked out for indoor wedding venues in Calgary.
To celebrate the night off with friends and loved ones, the Calgary wedding reception was held at The Baron Event Venue, a new indoor event venue in Calgary full of hipster vibes and awesome catering. Following Polish tradition, everyone at the reception celebrated with a shot of vodka to the couple! Now that’s how you start a party! Congratulations Heather + Marcin!
