If you’ve been to Vancouver Island before, you know to expect rain. So when we did our adventure session with Hailey and Luke in Tofino, BC, we were delighted to have a break from the rain and clouds that lasted just long enough for sunset.

Since we were all staying at Pacific Sands Resort on Cox Bay, it was the perfect location to walk to Pettinger Point and watch the massive waves crash against black coastal rock. With miles of public beaches near Tofino and Pacific Rim National Park, there’s plenty of great locations for couples looking for seaside adventure sessions or wedding elopements. Mad Pacific Northwest vibes.
We walked along the rainforest boardwalk that opened up to Pettinger Point, and after a quick 5-minute walk we were there! In Tofino, you don’t need to go far to get great ocean views. Hailey and Luke brought their little dog Sid along, who wasn’t afraid to get his paws wet for a few photos too!
With the waves crashing against the rock and sun setting into the ocean, it made for the perfect Tofino photography adventure session in British Columbia’s own little piece of Pacific Northwest.
