Beauty and the Beast was the theme of Sarah & Tristian’s Calgary wedding at Meadow Muse Pavilion, so I couldn’t have been more excited to kick off the wedding season with this fun couple’s big day!
The day started bright and early getting ready with the bridesmaids. I couldn’t resist snapping a couple pictures of their curious kitten scampering around investigating the commotion. Sarah’s cousin did the girls’ hair and makeup, making for a morning full of jokes and laughter. Sarah’s close friend helped her lace up the dress, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room when they all shared in prayer together.

The boys were full of banter and excitement getting ready for the exciting day. With a large wedding party, there were more than enough ‘GQ’ and ‘Blue Steels’ to go around for pictures. The boys clean up well!
The wedding ceremony and reception were held at Meadow Muse Pavilion in Fish Creek Provincial Park, a tented wedding venue that offers a lot of photography location options for couples who want an outdoor-style venue with indoor amenities. We meandered around the park, and snuck off to catch quiet views overlooking the valley where Sarah and Tristian soaked it all in.
For reception decor, Sarah and Tristian changed Meadow Muse Pavilion into a fairy tale. Roses encased in glass, purple and yellow colours, and fairy tale tomes were all used to bring their Beauty and the Beast fantasy to life. They even played “Be Our Guest” at dinner to set the tone!
The day finished with a little sibling teasing during speeches, stories of friendships spanning a decade, and some moonwalking on the dance floor to top it off. Congrats Sarah & Tristian!
