Secret Surprise Proposal Photographers in Banff
When these two reached out to us, they were in the midst of planning their Toronto wedding this summer and wanted to capture some photos in the Rockies before their big day. It was their first trip to this part of Canada, and they knew they wanted to do it right with a classic Canmore hike.
Shams had never done the traditional ‘dropping down on one knee’ before they decided to get married (an increasingly common trend), but during this hike Shams made sure his future wife was in for a surprise. Audrey didn’t know it yet, but this wasn’t going to be just any old photo session. Shams was planning with surprise proposal photographers in Banff for a hike to remember.
Hiking with Views of Ha Ling in Canmore
We met these two and started hiking for their adventure photo session. The Canadian Rockies are steep, but the mountain views are always worth it! We stopped along the way to soak in the view and take photos. As surprise proposal photographers in Banff we already had an iconic spot in mind where Shams would pop the question.

The Surprise Proposal
We hiked to the iconic viewpoint overlooking the shark fin of Ha Ling mountain and the town of Canmore below. It was the perfect spot to pop the question for surprise proposal photographers in Banff. We wanted to make sure Audrey had no idea the surprise proposal was coming, so we had them do a few ‘hipster’ photos for us. We had them face towards the mountains, and then back to back. We then asked them to take a few steps away from each other, still back to back, and then…
With Ha Ling and the Canadian Rockies in the background, Shams dropped down on one knee and asked her to marry him! She said yes! 🎉🎉 Audrey was completely caught off-guard and had no idea about Shams’ secret plans with us surprise proposal photographers! We celebrated and watched the sun set over Ha Ling filled with joy.
An Adventure of a Lifetime in the Canadian Rockies
Dusk fell and we hiked back. On the way down, they told us how Audrey usually caught on to any surprises Shams would plan, but this was truly the first time she had absolutely no idea! It was an honour to help make this idea a reality with Shams and to be their surprise proposal photographers in Banff. This surprise hiking proposal was truly an adventure of a lifetime!
