These two are having their wedding back home in Ontario, but their love for adventure drew them to the mountains for a Banff engagement photography session in the national park!

When these two reached out to us about a Banff engagement photographer session in the national park, they told us about their proposal story at Johnston Canyon and we knew we had to incorporate it into the adventure session!
On a quiet winter hike without a soul around, Blair raced into the cave entrance to the lower falls before Paige. He yelled out for her to come quick and see, and when she came running over she slipped across the icy footbridge and fell flat on her butt! When she got back up, there was Blair down on one knee, asking her to marry him! Our favourite proposal stories are the ones that never quite go as planned, and these two had us laughing out loud together while hanging out on this adventurous Banff engagement session!

We spent the evening exploring the caverns and caves of Johnston Canyon with their little dog Abby. Liam and I are huge dog people ourselves, and we love couples who bring their dogs along for adventure sessions. We chatted about silly doggy nicknames, and while our own little border collie Theo is nicknamed Mr. T, Abby’s nickname is Barb. Haha we loved the story behind that one!
After hanging out at Johnston Canyon, we found a field with the last sliver of sunlight in Banff National Park. Blair twirled and spinned Paige in the most gorgeous floral dress as these two soaked in the mountains of Banff. It was the perfect end to the day and our little Banff engagement photographers’ hearts were full.
