It’s amazing couples like Justin and Selina that make our jobs as Canmore engagement photographers the best gig on earth. We’ll take our office view of watching the sun rise over Ha Ling and the rocky mountains any day.

An Adventurous Canmore Engagement

When Selina and Justin reached out to us about photography for their Red Deer wedding, they mentioned they loved cheesecake and The Office in their very first email to us. We knew it was a perfect match.

Justin and Selina first met working at a summer camp together; she was the loud, bubbly leadership director and he was the rugged, quiet head of maintenance. Selina and Justin are always on the move for their next adventure by any means of transportation, and last summer they even took a train through the Canadian Rockies to Vancouver while visiting five national parks along the way.

We asked Justin and Selina to meet us before the crack of dawn on the side of a mountain and they were just as crazy as us to agree. With its cotton candy skies and Ha Ling mountain’s pastel peaks, this Canmore engagement session was hard to beat. After many jokes, jumps, laughs, and even running around fields wrapped in blankets like a bunch of lunatics, we all agreed: this sunrise in Canmore was worth the 5:00am wake-up call.

For Justin and Selina’s Canmore engagement session, we knew the perfect spot surrounded by rocky mountains that captured their wildly-in-love adventurous spirit. As we did the session, we shared our love of mountains with them and pointed out all different names of Canmore’s peaks, from Ha Ling to the Three Sisters, Mt. Lougheed and beyond.
