The ten peaks of Moraine Lake were shrouded in wildfire smoke the day before, but Mother Nature gave us Banff photographers her best show for this post-wedding adventure session!

Banff Photographers at Moraine
These two tied the knot a year before in the bride’s home of Kuwait. Cody is originally from Edmonton, and for Maha’s first visit to Canada he knew he wanted to take her somewhere special. Moraine Lake was a perfect choice with its high peaks and blue waters. We’ve shot at Moraine Lake before as Banff photographers, but these views will never get old.
An Unbelievably True Love Story of Fate
When I asked Cody and Maha how they met, Cody replied that everything happens for a reason. Cody is an engineer, and travels across the world with his company. He was heading to Singapore on a business trip, and had a quick hour-layover in Kuwait. All of a sudden, Cody’s work laptop went on the fritz. So he took it into the IT department to get it fixed. And there, fixing his computer, was Maha. They hit it off instantly. Over the next few days, they fell in love. Cody might have missed that original flight connection to Singapore, but found his soulmate instead.

Adventure Wedding Dresses
Our adventure sessions mean hopping over boulders, running down forest trails, and peaking over ledges. Maha got a unique wedding dress by Catherine Deane that she could walk, dance, twirl, and easily move around in for our Banff photographers session. Choosing a comfortable wedding dress you can freely move in for your elopement or adventure wedding will help make sure you have the most fun possible on the big day!
When you’re looking for your wedding dress, consider your wedding day or elopement plans. Are you going to be moving around a lot? Do you plan on hiking on your wedding day? Will you be comfortable for multiple hours in the dress, or do you feel you may tug and pull at it? As you try dresses on, test moving in them! Hop up and down in the change room, skip around the store! If the wedding dress feels stiff and you don’t feel like a million bucks when you walk in it, perhaps it’s not the best choice for an adventure wedding or elopement. As Banff photographers, we can’t recommend enough having a dress you’re going to love and feel comfortable in throughout your wedding day… walking, dancing, skipping and all!
Sunsets in the Mountains for Banff Photographers
After we watched the sun tuck behind the ten peaks, we took one final look at Moraine Lake and its glacial-blue waters. The mountains were in perfect view for Banff photographers as dusk settled in on the Canadian Rockies and we said our goodbyes. The wildfire smoke moved the following morning, but Cody and Maha truly had a perfect sunset for their post-wedding adventure session.
