Adventurous microwedding inspiration | Hiking wedding photos | Film and Forest Bragg Creek wedding photographers
This Bragg Creek wedding was wrapped up with an epic sunrise hike in Kananaskis! Do you still want a traditional wedding day but also want some epic wedding photos? As Bragg Creek wedding photographers we can say this one’s for you!

Bragg Creek Wedding Photographers in Fall
Matt and Michelle loved the idea of an adventure elopement, but they wanted their family and closest friends to be there for tying the knot. They planned an intimate ceremony in the mountains close to where Matt grew up in Bragg Creek. Matt and Michelle found the spot on their numerous trips out to Kananaskis Country. The ceremony was followed by a gourmet dinner by Fork and Farm Catering at their AirBnB. Bragg Creek wedding photographers will agree that this is a perfect way to plan your microwedding.
What is a Microwedding?
What is a microwedding? A microwedding is similar to an elopement, but with a small number of guests present (typically 10-15). It’s less structured than a traditional wedding day, but activities like cutting the cake and a first dance can still be incorporated.

Hiking in Kananaskis Country
A couple days after their Bragg Creek wedding, Matt and Michelle met up with us again for hiking photos! We hiked by headlamp up a larch-filled ridge in Kananaskis Country rich with fall colours. As the sun rose, clouds shifted in the skies and made for some epic light during their adventure session!
Benefits of Doing Post-Wedding Photos
Why do we think post-wedding day photos are better as Bragg Creek wedding photographers? Separating your wedding portraits from your actual wedding day allows for more flexibility. In doing so, you free up more time to spend with your family and friends instead of taking time away on photos. When we do take portraits on a separate day, it opens a ton of possibilities for epic hiking locations! You don’t have to compromise, and you can take what elements you want for your wedding day and post-weddding photos!
